Youth Volunteers realizing the World Future School

We invite you for cooperation and collaboration for realising and evolving the frameworks of the WFS.

The few technical aspects on top of the list should be "peanuts" for experienced programmers (see phase 1 below).

The co-editing, grahic design and networking jobs offer opportunities for inspirational involvement for everybody, like graphic artists, youth journalists etc. (see phase 2 & 3 below).

Most easily, you can combine your volunteer activities with your studies, personal interests or involvement in other organsiations.

The WFS is appreciated, supported and connected to outstanding people and organisations around the world. It will be presented on the Evolution of World Order Conference in Oct 2004, Council on Global Issues/Science for Peace (website).

Why do we need your help and involvement? Because this project does not fit into any conventional short term or theme-limited funding programs. Corporate sponsors or suffocating paper work? We don't think so! :)

Volunteer Level 1 : Programmers

We are looking for kick-off support and consultation for:
- an open source WIKI for the CultureChannel
- automatic registration school profile pages, highly self-editable, probably using a different Content Management System from our current typo3.

& for typo3 Content Management System:
We have a typo3 Content Management System (www.typo3.org) installed on our server. It is open source software also applied in corporate environments, so it should provide all we need. The basic functions are activated. We are looking for kick-off support and consultation for:
- solutions for multiligualism in complex websites
- typo3 WIKI plugin configuration
- typo 3 mininews plugin configuration for news editing, including teasers etc
- for the automatic registration school profile pages, we have not discovered an appropriate function in typo3 yet. If it exists, advice on its installation will help a great deal.

Volunteer Level 2 : Graphic Artists

- LearnScapes (info)
- Sculpture Garden, Sculptures of Meaning, new worldviews and mental models (see here)
- Future Scenarios (see here)
- CultureKaleidoscopes (see CultureChannel)
- Youth Camp (see here)
- Exposition Ground (see here)
- Harbour (see here)
- Future-Fleet (see here)
- Agenda City
These themes are being explored in avantgarde scientific circles and think tanks, but have not been visualised yet! They are wild playgrounds for meaningful creativity and imagination, involving illustration of tidal wave knowhow!

Volunteer Level 3 : CONTENT NETWORKING & EDITING TEAM

The main projects...

Online volunteers, working online from anywhere on the planet, can and will work on more than one project. Depending on your interest and experience, you will probably tend towards a specific project.
- Anybody can get involved in networking, research and editing.
- Creative writers & Youth journalists have a lot of creative space!
- Graphic artists - real and digital - find a lot of inspiration, fun and challenge. Knowhow of Photoshop or similar is useful.
